the story behind the atelier
Hello, I'm Rani
Wastikikier is my brainchild — born from a love of soft fabrics, little hands and the moments you want to keep forever.

How it started
It started small, as the loveliest things often do. With a scrap of fabric, a sewing machine and the wish to make not just a gift, but something to cherish. Small things like a bib, bandana, comforter, blanket, pacifier clip — grabbed and carried along every day.
What began as a hobby that got out of hand soon grew into something that makes my heart beat faster. And so Wastikikier was born.
“Some gifts are kept for years. Others are cuddled every day and taken everywhere.”
What Wastikikier stands for
I make every piece by hand, with care and an eye for detail. I deliberately choose calm colours and timeless, soft fabrics — materials that feel lovely against a baby's skin and stay beautiful, wash after wash. As lovely as they are practical, that's what I aim for every time.
Above all, it may be personal. A name, a colour, a design tuned to your birth announcement: it's those small details that make an item truly yours. Something that finds a place in your everyday moments and may later become a treasured memory.
About me
By day I'm a nursery teacher. Every day I see how children attach to the small things that give them a sense of recognition and comfort — a familiar cloth, a cuddly toy that goes everywhere. I take that thought with me behind the sewing machine.
In the evening, with a cup of tea within reach, I love to disappear into my atelier. There, stitch by stitch, the items I make with so much love come to life — hoping they'll find a warm spot in your home too.
So glad you're here. Have a look around.

A little sister — literally and figuratively
Wastikikier has a little sister. My sister makes handmade soaps with just as much love, under the name Wariekikier. Two small ateliers, one family — literally sisters, and figuratively sister businesses that love to lend each other a hand.
